Changing Hollywood One Frame at a Time
OUR MISSION
The goal of the Poyzen Foundation, is to create opportunities and training for the advancement of women working in the film, TV and media industries. We seek to expand on diversity and transform creativity.
We are able to do so by offering both free training, awarding grants to women filmmakers to complete their projects, and by creating original content with women serving in roles of directors, executive producers, cinematographers and other behind the lens positions.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER:
Sondra Anderson, started her career in the entertainment biz in 2010, as the licensing manager for an indie film her husband was producing. She had no prior experience but accepted the challenge and did an amazing job. After several months of being in the business, she noticed the lack of women in key roles on the production side of filmmaking and assumed that it was the lack of interest from women. But after speaking with dozens of aspiring female filmmakers, she realized that it was not the lack of interest, but instead the lack of opportunities being extended to women and hence, The Poyzen Foundation was formed.
Sondra’s career has blossomed over the last several years from serving as the casting director on dozens of projects to producing several series and films and to now being the Executive Producer on multiple projects. She hopes that the Poyzen Foundation, will inspire more women to pursue careers behind the camera and is committed to increasing diversity in all areas of the industry.

GET INVOLVED
If you can't donate, there are still many ways you can support the cause. We are always in need of volunteers to help spread the word, assist with fundraising, offer services and products that may benefit up and coming women filmmakers or even donate old film equipment that you may no longer be using that could be a major asset to an aspiring young filmmaker. Email us and we would be happy to chat about being a part of the Poyzen Foundation.
